I Wish You Enough

Each day I pray - I pray for the health and safety of my friends and family - I thank God for all the wonderful people in my life - I pray for others who are in need and I pray for ENOUGH for myself and everyone I love.
You may have heard this story before, but it's one that touches my heart every time I hear it:  A lady was said to have over-heard a man at an airport saying good bye to his daughter, he then said "I Wish You Enough."  After the daughter's plane had left, the woman asked this man what "I Wish You Enough" means.  After a moment, he replied "It's a wish that has been handed down from other generations. My parents used to say it to everyone." He paused for a moment and then smiled even more.  "When they said 'I wish you enough,' they were wanting the other person to have a life filled with just enough good things to sustain them," he continued and then turning toward me he shared the following:
"I wish you enough sun to keep your attitude bright.
I wish you enough rain to appreciate the sun more.
I wish you enough happiness to keep your spirit alive.
I wish you enough pain so that the smallest joys in life appear much bigger.
I wish you enough gain to satisfy your wanting.
I wish you enough loss to appreciate all that you possess.
I wish enough "Hello's" to get you through the final "Goodbyes."
He then turned and walked away.

So to all of you - I also wish you enough!

It's a GREAT Day!

WOW - what a GREAT day it has been for our Scentsy business.  First of all, let me explain that "our" Scentsy business means Rick (my husband) and mine!  He is my business partner and thanks to my successful career with Scentsy, he now is able to work full time with me and we both love it!  Before he was able to stop working his former job, he'd take catalogs and flyers in to the other employees and would collect orders once in a while and would always keep all sizes of light bulbs in his tool box!  (He also recruited THREE consultants for me through his work.) Well, now that he isn't working away from home, he still goes to lunch on Fridays with his buddies from there and usually collects a few orders each Friday from them.  When we have new flyers and catalogs he shares those with them.  WELL...today he took the flyer with our Christmas Tree warmer and fabulous Clementine & Clove bars and came home with orders for EIGHT warmers and 24 bars.  Not bad for a few minutes work, huh?!?!?  I'm so proud of the way he works our business.  From the beginning of my career with Scentsy, Rick has been super supportive but as time has gone by, he's become more and more involved in all aspects of the business.  Not only is he a great salesman, he now helps with so much more!  I don't know how I ever did it without him helping each step of the way!  I've had other consultants ask me if they can "borrow" him - well, the answer is NO but he might be able to help train your spouses! LOL

Have a wonderful weekend!

It's Time to Start

As a brand new blogger, I'm a little nervous and not sure what to write about but several of my friends have told me to "JUST START" so I am!  It's kind of crazy that I'm nervous about blogging because I've never been nervous about presenting to any size group of people whether it was when I was a teacher presenting at the NCTM (National Council of Teachers of Mathematics) annual convention or as a Scentsy Family independent consultant presenting to groups of all sizes. I guess I can do this, too! So, here goes.....
As a retired teacher (I taught 32 years), I still tend to "act like a teacher".  Typos (except punctuation which is a weakness of mine) jump out at me like a ghost in a haunted house!  There are several that are done so frequently, I think people actually think they are correct.  Here's some examples:  "your" instead of "you're". (Just remember: You're responsible for your own spelling.)  How about not including an apostrophe where a letter has been left out.  Don't - not dont.  Wasn't not wasnt.  I could go on and on but we all know that would be very boring (but that doesn't mean I will stopped being bugged by typos!) LOL  When I'm in a noisy situation, I have to catch myself before I say "Girls and Boys, let's remember to show manners and use your inside voices" or "I can wait until everyone has their eyes on me before I begin".  When I see people who haven't cleaned up after themselves, I want to sing "Clean up, clean up - everyone do their share" or say "Let's remember to always leave a place as good or better than we found it"  and another one I still can't figure out is why adults don't stop what they are doing when I begin counting backwards from 5!!!  But what really doesn't fly anymore is when I tell one of my Scentsy downline - it doesn't matter how well you do as long as you try your hardest! (For some reason they think I should give more help that that!! :-))

Well, folks - that's all for tonight!  Thank you for reading my first ever blog and I hope I can continue to do these because it truly was kind of fun!

May your days be filled with sun shine!!!
